The Prince George Kids' Fun Triathlon
The triathlon consists of three parts; swimming, cycling and running. Each of the legs is completed by an individual or a member of a relay team. Teams can consist of two or three members, boys, girls or mixed.
THE SWIM
The swim will take place at the Four Seasons Pool. Competitors will swim in heats accordint to their category. The younger competitors will start first. Upon completing the swim, the competitors will exit the building through the west door and enter the first transition area in the parking lot outside.
THE CYCLE
Competitors will put on their cycling gear (helmets, tops and numbers on the front) in the transition area. Relay team members will tag off. The cycling course follows a route to and around Fort George Park. Competitors in the 4km age groups circle the park once. Competitors in the 8km age groups circle the park 3 times. Traffic control will be in place; however, cyclists must be alert to possible traffic hazards. The transition to the run will be near the bandstand.
